1. Who we are

SyntraxSec is operated by Syntrax Technologies (syntrax.co.tz). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you use app.syntrax.co.tz.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide at registration (name, username, email, password hash), authentication data from Google sign-in when you choose that option, lab and CTF activity, billing details for paid plans, and technical data such as IP address, browser type, session identifiers, and security logs.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to create and secure your account, deliver training content, send verification and service emails from no-reply@syntrax.co.tz, process subscriptions, prevent fraud and abuse, improve platform performance, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Email communications

Transactional emails include account verification, password reset, welcome messages, and security alerts. We do not sell your email address to third parties for marketing.

5. Cookies and sessions

We use essential cookies and session tokens to keep you signed in, protect against cross-site request forgery, and remember preferences. See our cookie notice in the application for details on essential cookies.

6. Data sharing

We share data only with infrastructure providers required to operate the service (hosting, email delivery, payment processors), when you authenticate via Google under Google's policies, or when required by law. We do not share passwords or secrets in logs.

We apply industry-standard safeguards including encrypted sessions, hashed passwords, rate limiting, email verification, and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security; report concerns to security@syntrax.co.tz.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent where applicable, by contacting us. Verified email is required before we modify or delete account records.

9. Data retention

We retain account and activity data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, billing, and legal compliance. Anonymized analytics may be kept longer.
